Adult insects can often be found in spider webs, in trees and brush along the bank, or on the water’s surface near the shoreline. Nymphs are often swept downstream as they migrate towards shallow water during their emergence phase. Look under rocks, logs and other vegetation along the shore and in shallow water downstream of where you plan to fish. Check out the SnapHatch Bug Out Bag to learn more.

Try to take the best possible picture by zooming in to fill the frame, make sure the image is in focus and avoid shadows. Aim to capture as many key features of the insect as possible.
