I have been fly fishing now for a couple of years and have had minimal success. I decided to try this system and what a difference it has made. I have caught more fish in the last 2 weeks than in the last 2 years. I am enjoying the app and learning more about insects as well as how fish are feeding. The fly kit gives me confidence that I have what I need to match the hatch anywhere I go!

I have loved fly fishing for a long time. My biggest problem though, is trying to figure out what fly I am supposed to use. The app and fly box setup has made this effortless. I don’t even have to think when I go out fishing anymore. I input what I’m seeing into the app and it takes it from there. It has been interesting getting to learn about what the fish are feeding on and the different stages of an insect too. 10/10 recommend!!!
I’ve mostly used the SnapHatch app so far, and it’s a clean way to go from “what is this bug?” to “what should I tie on?” The offline insect recognition + match suggestions reduce guesswork, and the hatch/catch logs (conditions, water data, etc.) feel like they’ll pay off over time. I haven’t used the box much yet, but I like that the kit is built to match the app.
As a longtime fly fisherman (60) plus years. This app is helpful, especially in new water that’s not familiar. It is also easy for us older people to use without having to be overly tech savvy. If you follow its recommendations it will increase your bite and catch success. I highly recommend this product.
