BH Flashback Pheasant Tail

A timeless and versatile pattern, the Pheasant Tail imitates a variety of natural nymphs, especially mayflies, stoneflies. Its slim, realistic profile makes it effective in clear or stained water, and the natural coloration helps it blend seamlessly with the environment. One of the most widely used and trusted nymphs in fly fishing, it's a must-have that produces in nearly every river, stream, or stillwater.

PRESENTATIONS -
Nymph Rig >

This pattern fishes well year-round in a Nymph Rig, especially when presented near the bottom. It can be used as either the lead or dropper fly, but is most often tied on as the larger lead fly to help get your rig down and attract attention in deeper runs.

Dry Dropper Nymph >

Fished in tandem with a highly visible dry fly acting as an indicator, this setup allows the nymph to suspend higher in the water column - ideal for targeting trout feeding just below the surface on emerging insects or drifting nymphs. A deadly combination during hatch transitions or in shallow riffles.
