BH Woolly Bugger Black
Quite possibly the most popular and versatile fly in the world, the Woolly Bugger is a must-have for any angler. It imitates a wide range of prey - from leeches and baitfish to stonefly nymphs and crayfish - making it effective in nearly every type of water, from small streams to lakes and even saltwater. It can be stripped like a streamer, dead drifted like a nymph, or fished in smaller sizes as part of a Dry Dropper rig. If you're not sure what the fish want, start with a Bugger.

Presentation
This pattern fishes well year-round in a Nymph Rig, especially when presented near the bottom. It can be used as either the lead or dropper fly, but is most often tied on as the larger lead fly to help get your rig down and attract attention in deeper runs.
Fished in tandem with a highly visible dry fly acting as an indicator, this setup allows the nymph to hang higher in the water column targeting fish that are keyed in on insects near the surface.
