Fly Details
Damsel Nymph BH
Damselflies are still water insects found world wide and are a prime food source for trout and other fish in certain areas. The damsel nymph is a slow swimmer with a long slender body and is often found under rocks, logs, or in vegetation. It is most vulnerable when it moves from the bottom and swims towards the surface in its emergence stage. Fish a Damselfly Nymph throughout the water column and retrieve it slowly to initiate a strike.

Presentation
Works well year-round in a Nymph Rig fished near the bottom. It can be fished as either the lead or dropper fly, typically in a larger size as the lead fly.
Fished in tandem with a highly visible dry fly acting as an indicator, this allows the nymph to hang higher in the water column targeting that are keyed in on insects near the surface.
